Skyz The Limit: The Top 5 Tunes of The Week

1. Wiley – Never Be Your Woman (Jaymo & Andy Vocal Remix)  The fabulous production duo of BBC’s Jaymo & Andy George have reconstructed this Caribbean dub hip-hop rap tune into a monster rock n’ rave club record that’s filled with a frenetic mixture of acid baselines, hard-driven synths and a mind-numbing electro house backbeat. The most impressive element behind this reproduction is that the new mix blends in perfectly with the gripping core vocals of Grime/Drum N’ Bass rapper Wiley and seductively soulful chorus by Emeili Sande. This should be an instantaneous sensation at area night clubs around town. Watch for a bold interview with both Jaymo & Andy on SkyTram in the not so distant future. [Release TBA]

TramNation Traxx Stars: The Tom Staar Interview

In The Mix: Tom Staar

Multitalented UK DJ/Producer Tom Staar could be one of the top names in the Indie Electronic dance scene. Earlier this month, SkyTram debuted an exclusive DJ set that incorporates an ear-candy array of house music, hard techno and space-age electronica that has impacted his own discography. In 2009, Staar received enormous hype on BBC Radio 1 and Annie Mac’s weekly program. He bases most of his music influences on many top artists such as Crookers, Prodigy, Erol Alken and Erasure. In addition to remixing big names like Basement Jaxx, Tom is warping through space and time, delivering first-rate remixes of emerging talent like We Have Band and Fenech-Soler.
